The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is a deluxe hotel located eleven miles from Ottawa International Airport, in the heart of Ottawa. Graced with a blend of French Renaissance and neo gothic architecture, the Chateau is a distinctive landmark nestled between the Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings. The Grand Dame of Ottawa, this fairy tale castle is a favorite place for celebrations. The hotel is easy walking distance to all the city center attractions, and there are a multitude of restaurants in the area to choose from. However, guests won't have to leave the hotel to find great dining or live entertainment.
The Fairmont Chateau Laurier is especially proud of its multiple award winning restaurant, Wilfrid's. Live entertainment is offered on the weekends at the hotel's elegant lounge, Zoe's. This landmark hotel offers a unique and memorable experience for all its guests. The guest rooms have been beautifully renovated and they are in keeping with the Fairmont's reputation for luxurious accommodations. Moderate rooms are located throughout the hotel. They are cozy and best suited for the single traveler staying for one or two nights. These rooms offer the same in room amenities as a Fairmont room; however, some are equipped with a stand up shower instead of a bathtub. The Moderate rooms are equipped with 1 king or 1 queen bed and is approximately 200 sq. ft. These rooms have either a city or courtyard view. Moderate rooms provide excellent value, offering warm hospitality and excellent service.
