Location.Hotel Arte is a modern townhouse located in the centre of Sofia, 700 metres from the St Sofia Church and 800 metres from the National Gallery of Art. Sofia Airport is eight kilometres away, a 20 minute drive.
Hotel Features.The concierge can help plan sightseeing and organise airport transport, and guests can make use of wireless Internet access throughout the hotel. There is also a coffee shop and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can offer a safe deposit box, and the Hotel Arte offers an ATM, business services and room service.
The hotel's Restaurant Arte serves traditional Italian and Bulgarian dishes, alongside many international favourites, in a refined setting with marble tables, large windows and brass ornaments.
Guestrooms.The 25 guestrooms are decorated in soft pastel shades with light wood furnishings. All include cable television with pay movies, wireless Internet access, direct dial phones, minibars, air conditioning, refrigerators and showers.
Expert Tip.Alexander Nevski Church, 700 metres from the hotel, is a memorial to the 200,000 Russian soldiers who lost their lives for Bulgaria's independence. The National Art Gallery in the Royal Palace, 800 metres away, displays a fine collection of Bulgarian paintings.

Getting there.Taxis are available from the airport; a taxi to the hotel costs around 10 EUR. Bus number 84 also runs to the centre. Guests should alight at the Sports Palace bus stop. From here buses run to Donduklov Boulevard, then get a tram to Bacho Kiro Street. The hotel is one block away. Sofia is well served by buses, trolley buses, trams, metros and minibuses, making getting around easy. Day passes can be purchased and tickets must be punched on boarding buses.
Driving directions.From the airport take the Tzarigradsko Shosse (incoming ring road from Plovdiv) and follow the signs for the town centre. Drive straight over at the first two traffic lights, and at the third set of lights turn right at the Sofia University. Go straight over at the roundabout, and at the next traffic lights turn left. The hotel is on this road on the right.
